Event organizer Jón Jónsson ehf. is organizing a special bonus concert, in cooperation with Mr. Destiny and Iceland Airwaves, at festival venue NASA tonight, performed by DJ Margeir and a nine-piece string orchestra.
Daníel Ágúst of Ný dönsk and GusGus fame will sing during the concert; DJ Margeir, a.k.a. President Bongo, is also a member of GusGus. The band, or orchestra, will be conducted by Samúel Jón Samúelsson of Icelandic band Jagúar.
According to Jón Jónsson ehf., the series of compositions that will be performed during the concert are unique since such compositions have never been orchestrated for a DJ and a string orchestra before to their knowledge.
