Action figures based on Norse gods win award

Students from the economics, engineering and law departments of the University of Iceland received the Pioneer Award of Dr. Gudfinna Bjarnadóttir on Friday for their idea of action figures based on Norse gods.

The action figures feature Thor, Loki, Freyja and the horse Sleipnir and look similar to the Lord of the Rings action figures, Morgunbladid reports.

At first they would only be sold in Iceland, especially marketed for Icelandic children and foreign tourists, and with time they would spread to other countries.

But as the action figures’ designers are still studying it is not clear when or if their project will materialize.
