The factory has recently been enlarged and now new equipment is being installed. According to an announcement from Actavis, the equipment is worth more than ISK 200 million (USD 1.8 million, EUR 1.3 million), Fréttabladid reports.

The purchase of equipment is the largest single investment Actavis has undertaken in connection with the factory’s enlargement. Once the project has been completed, the factory’s production capacity will be approximately 1.5 billion pills per year.
