A Boy Called Kjói

In Iceland you cannot give your child any name you choose. Mannanafnanefnd (Icelandic Naming Committee) has to approve all new names of Icelanders. Five new names were approved today, according to mbl.is.

The five new names were: Kjói (name of the bird Parasitic Jaeger or Parasitic Skua), Íseldur (Iceandfire), Adelía, and Jean and Carlos as middle names. They turned down one name :Christa. It was not considered Icelandic enough.
