Next summer 38 cruise ships will visit Ísafjörður, population 4,000, up from 32 last summer.

Guðmundur M. Kristjánsson, Ísafjörður harbor manager told local newspaper Bæjarins Bestu: “The cruise ship will also be larger, so we are expecting 10,000 more tourists than last year, 40,000 in total, next summer. This is great for the local economy.”
