“True Blue Beauty”: Photos of Iceland Glacial Lagoon

Photographer Tim Vollmer’s and his partner Marketa Kalvachova’s images of icebergs were published on the Mail Online yesterday. The couple moved to Iceland in 2005 and have spent months traveling around Iceland to shoot ice, including the ever-changing icebergs of Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon in South Iceland.

Vollner says the pair never got bored as their subject was constantly changing. “We became fascinated by the textures and tones. Every day we go out to shoot pictures the light, formation, shape and colours are completely different.”

“The lifecycle of the landscape creates unbelievable sights. All these images were taken over the last couple of months but if I went back now they would look different,” he added.
