Last week, an agreement was made between all parties with representatives in parliament to address the bills before recess.
A total of five bills were passed, including a bill regarding individuals’ payment adjustments, income tax as well as a new debtors’ ombudsman.
The President of Althingi said that its modus operandi needed to change; improving the institution was of the utmost importance, as well as correcting people’s misconceptions regarding it.
