The organizers of the Frankfurt Book Fair promise a wide range of Icelandic publications:

“There are 100 new publications announced already. The spotlight of these is on the newly translated Icelandsagas (Íslendingasögur), but also on numerous contemporary and young authors.”

Iceland’s contribution to the fair is not only books. “As well as numerous book readings and new publications, there is expected to be a diverse programme of events from the art, film and music sectors,” it is said on the Fair’s official website.

Fabulous Iceland” is the motto chosen to demonstrate the grand literature heritage so deeply-rooted in Iceland’s culture; the presentation will begin on October 12 and finish on October 16 this year.
