Icelandic director Baltasar Kormákur’s The Deep (Djúpið) has been nominated for 16 Icelandic Film and Television Awards (Eddas), as announced earlier this afternoon. Among the nominations is Best Film, for which Frost and Black’s Game (Svartur á leik) are also up.
Black’s Game comes second in number of nominations, 15 in total, ruv.is reports.
The Deep missed out on an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film earlier this month after having been shortlisted.
