‘Comet of the Century’ to be Visible from Iceland

Comet Ison, which some researchers have termed the comet of the century, will likely be visible from Iceland in early December, ruv.is reports.

The comet is expected to be low in the sky on the eastern horizon so it will be best viewed in areas unobstructed from mountains or buildings.

BBC reports that what makes Ison so special is that it is a so-called sungrazer, meaning that it will pass through the corona of the Sun, something which only very few comets do.
