By Iceland Review

chainreaction_hmk-rvkartmus‘Chain Reaction’, an exhibition by Helgi Már Kristinsson (b. 1973) currently running at the D-Gallery at Reykjavík Art Museum – Hafnarhús, features paintings and sculptures made by the artist in recent months.

Kristinsson has primarily dedicated himself to abstract painting with strong influences from graffiti and street art in the urban landscape. His work contains impenetrable small worlds where floating forms and line drawings prevail, a press release states.

Kristinsson, who lives and works in Reykjavík, graduated from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2002 and has since shown in solo and group shows in addition to working as a curator and project manager of large exhibitions.

‘Chain Reaction will be on display until April 10. Curated by Yean Fee Quay.
