For the past year, we’ve travelled all over the country, capturing snapshots of people, animals, and places to share their stories in the magazine. Unfortunately, not every image makes it into the magazine so we’ll take this chance to show you some of our favourite unpublished images from 2019.
Earlier this year, members of the band Hjaltalín surprised their fans by releasing their first single in five years. Even though the band’s members are all active in other projects, the innovative group seemed to be in hibernation for years, with many assuming that we’d seen the last of them. Turns out, Hjaltalín hadn’t quit. It hadn’t even been hibernating. Life just got in the way.
Each year, the Icelandic Press Photo Association runs a contest for the year’s best photographs.
