Vodafone to Buy 365 Media for 8 Billion

Fjarskipti hf., the parent company of Vodafone in Iceland, and media and telecommunications company 365 miðlar hf. signed an agreement on Tuesday on private talks on Vodafone’s acquisition of the broadcasting and telecommunications services of 365 for ISK 8 billion (USD 69 million, EUR 62 million).

EVE Online to be Played for Free

Icelandic gaming company CCP announced yesterday its plans to enable users to play the massively multiplayer online role-playing game EVE Online for free as of November. After its release 13 years ago, the game, which is set in space, became a global hit and currently has over 500,000 subscribers.
