Kiss Me Got Away from Iceland Cat Thief

One of the four purebred Bengal cats that were stolen from the farm Nátthagi in Ölfus, South Iceland, the day before yesterday managed to escape the thief and was found by his owner, Ólafur Sturla Njálsson, yesterday evening. It was the male cat Kiss Me.

Former Interior Minister’s Police Dealings Criticized

In a report published today Ombudsman of Alþingi Tryggvi Gunnarsson has concluded that former Minister of the Interior Hanna Birna Kristjánsdóttir’s communication with former Chief of Police in Reykjavík Stefán Eiríksson during the investigation of her ministry in connection with the leak of a confidential document to the media in November 2013 had not been in accordance with rules that ministers must abide by in order to ensure an independent and objective police.

Vier bengalische Katzen gestohlen

Vier reinrassige bengalische Katzen sind vorgestern von der Farm Nátthagi im Bezirk Ölfus in Südisland gestohlen worden. Der Eigentümer der Katzen, Ólafur Sturla Njálsson, der die Bengalen seit Jahren züchtet, sagte, er habe gegen zwei Uhr nachts festgestellt, dass das Türschloss an der Hütte aufgebrochen worden war.
