Minister of Industry and Travel Ragnheiður Elín Árnadóttir’s nature pass bill has been approved by the government and it will be presented in more detail in the coming days. The Icelandic Travel Industry Association (SAF) opposes the bill and proposes a tax on accommodation nights instead, which is also debated.

Icelanders’ Trust in Media Down

Trust in all Icelandic media outlets, with the exception of DV, has decreased, according to a new poll conducted by MMR. Fourteen and a half percent of respondents said they trusted DV “a lot” compared to 10 percent a year ago.
