Ptarmigan Hunting Season Begins in Iceland

Today is the first day of the ptarmigan hunting season in Iceland and thousands of hobby hunters are expected to head out attempting to catch their Christmas roast. There will be 12 hunting days in total, the next four weekends, Fridays through Sundays.

Changes Proposed to Pricing in Dairy Industry

Sixteen MPs of the Social Democratic Alliance, Bright Future and the Pirate Party submitted a bill in Alþingi, the Icelandic parliament, this week on amendments to the law on price consultation in the dairy industry. The current law is being criticized for hindering competition.
