Greatest Frost in Iceland in August in 30 Years

autumn03_zrAfter a hot summer, the cool autumn appears to have arrived in Iceland. The temperature dropped to -5.3°C (22.5°F) at Brúsastaðir in Vatnsdalur, Northwest Iceland, on Sunday night, which is the lowest temperature measured in Iceland in August since 1982, when the frost measured -5.6°C (21.9°F) at Staðarhóll in Aðaldalur, Northeast Iceland.
