The decrease is the most evident in Breiðafjörður and Faxaflói in the west, along the southern coast and in the East Fjords.

Rolex Raiders Given Five Years in Prison

districtcourtReykjavík District Court sentenced Grzegorz Marcin Novak and Pawel Jerzy Podburaczynski to five years in prison yesterday for having violently attacked and threatened the staff of jewelry and watchmaker store Michelsen in Reykjavík before robbing it in October 2011.

Viking Remains Excavated in Center of Reykjavík

Landsmót gestartet

landsmot_psGestern begann das Landes-Pferde-Festival Landsmót 2012 in Víðidalur in Reykjavík. Beim Festival werden Prüfungen ganz unterschiedlicher Schwierigkeitsgrade geritten. Zur einwöchigen Veranstaltung werden 500 Reiter und bis zu 15.000 Besucher erwartet.
