Midsummer Concerts and Festivities in Iceland

summer-rvk_pkThe longest day of the year, the summer solstice, is today. It is followed by Jónsmessa, Midsummer Day, on June 24, which calls for renewed celebration. A Midsummer Day festival will take place at Aldey in Bárdardalur valley in rural northeast Iceland, among other locations.
