Left-Greens Push Parliamentary Chair Out

Árni Thór Sigurdsson, who had replaced her while she was on leave, was voted chair in her stead.

Storm Hits Iceland, Travelers Stranded

keflavikairport_ipaUp to 150 people had to spend the night in the pitstop Stadarskáli, midway between Akureyri and Reykjavík, last night because the mountain pass across Holtavörduheidi was closed due to a fierce storm which hit the country. A huge hole was torn in the Icelandair hanger at Keflavík International Airport.
