If these were the results of a parliamentary election, the Independence Party could forge a coalition with the Progressive Party.

Luxury Hotel to Rise near Hekla Volcano

hekla-summer_goThe construction of a 5,000-square-meter four-star luxury hotel with 60 rooms, six suites and a view of Hekla volcano from every room will begin at Leirubakki in the Landsveit rural district in south Iceland this year. The hotel is scheduled to open in the spring of 2012.

Unemployment in Iceland 7.4 Percent in Q4

protests151108-01_ipaThe unemployment rate in Iceland in the last three months of 2010 measured 7.4 percent, up from 6.4 percent in Q3. At the end of last year, around 13,200 people were jobless on average, which is an increase of 1,200 people compared to the same period in 2009.

Luxushotel beim Vulkan Hekla geplant
