Statistics Iceland Predicts 2,9 Percent Decrease in GDP

It appears that 2010 will see a 2,9 percent decrease in GDP. On the other hand, it is predicted that economic growth will be positive beginning in the year 2011 and throughout, it is assumed that large scale industry construction will begin in full force and private consumption will not be reversed any further.

Reykjavík’s New Majority Inaugurated Today

Considerable changes have been made to Reykjavík’s government, according to the coalition agreement of the Best Party and the Democratic Alliance. With a total of nine councilors out of 15, the two parties will take the reins of the Reykjavík City Council today.
