On Sunday, American entrepreneur and film producer Jonathan Taplin bought the domain thebestparty.org, which is the name of Besti flokkurinn, Icelandic comedian and new Reykjavík Mayor Jón Gnarr’s political party, in English. Taplin doesn’t rule out the possibility to run under the party’s name in California.

Vulkan wird noch überwacht

Möglicherweise brach vergangenen Freitagabend neues Magma durch die Oberfläche des Eyjafjallajökull. Verstärkte vulkanische Unruhe wurde registriert und eine schwarze Fahne erhob sich über dem Gipfel des Gletschers. Wissenschaftler beobachten den Vulkan weiter und müssen noch offiziell erklären, die Eruption sei vorüber.
