Die Kugel besteht aus gefilzter Isländischer Wolle und kann auf die verschiedensten Arten eingesetzt werden, etwa als Aufhänger, Spielzeug, Dekoration, Hocker oder Schalldämpfer.

More Voters than Ever Hand in Empty Ballots

Never before have as many voters handed in empty ballots in municipal elections in Iceland as on Saturday. Empty and invalid ballots in the 58 municipalities where elections took place accounted for 6.4 percent of votes, up from 2.4 percent in the municipal elections in 2006.

Party of the People Victorious in Akureyri

The majority coalition of the Independence Party and Social Democrats in Akureyri, the largest town in north Iceland, collapsed in the municipal elections on Saturday while the L-listinn, the Party of the People, earned a clear majority with 45 percent of votes and six representatives on the council.

Best Party and Social Democrats Discuss Coalition

Jón Gnarr, chairman of the Best Party, has revealed that discussions took place with the Social Democrats yesterday on forming a coalition in the Reykjavík City Council. Gnarr said he is demanding the chair of mayor and he believes Dagur B. Eggertsson, chairman of the Social Democrats in Reykjavík, will agree to that.
