Easter in Iceland: Avalanche, Drunken Driving and Burning Dry Grass

The headlines on Easter Sunday indicate it was a quiet day in Iceland. Mbl.is, the most popular news website tells us of an avalanche the fell on the road at Siglufjördur in the northern part of Iceland. Nobody was hurt, but it took about twelve hours to open the road up again. Since this is the only road to Siglufjördur that can certainly be inconvenient, especially since many people might have wanted to use the popular skiing area. But the important thing was that nobody got hurt.
