Successful Lamb Export from North Iceland

The Skagafjördur Cooperative (KS) has never exported as much lamb as this year. Its main market is in Britain, to where 600 tons of lambs are exported. Other important markets are in Spain and the Faroe islands, while demand is also increasing in Asia.

InDefence: Volk soll über Icesave abstimmen

Skiing Season Begins in Iceland

The skiing season in Akureyri, north Iceland, begins tomorrow at 10 am. Karl Jónsson, director of the local ski resort in Hlídarfjall, said snow production has been more successful than hoped in the past days.
