Suspect in Hafnarfjördur Murder Case Arrested

A man was sentenced to custody until September 1 yesterday, suspected of having murdered another man in a room of a house in the Hraun district in Hafnarfjördur on Monday. The suspect has a history of violence with the police. Both men were aged around 30.

Kaupthing lehnt Schuldenerlass für Milliardäre ab

Die Bank Kaupthing hat den Antrag von Björgólfur Gudmundsson, dem früheren Vorsitzenden von Landsbanki, und seinem Sohn Björgólfur Thor Björgólfsson, zurückgewiesen, die Bank solle die Hälfte ihrer 5,9 Milliarden Kreditschulden abzuschreiben.
