Temperatures rose to 26.2°C in Reykjavík yesterday, which is an all-time record for Iceland’s capital. It has never been as warm in Reykjavík since temperatures were first registered 150 years ago. Other heat records were also broken yesterday.

Iceland Sports Highest Quality of Life

Iceland scored highest on a list comparing economic opportunities and the quality of life in 120 different countries, compiled by Long Island University. Iceland was considered having the best combination of factors contributing towards a model society.

Woman Hiking in Iceland Bit by Fox

A member of the hiking group Fjalla-Freyjur had to seek medical assistance last weekend after being bitten by a fox in the slopes of Mt. Húsafell, southeast of Hafnarfjördur in Iceland’s capital region. Foxes usually never attack humans.
