Air Traffic Controllers on Strike

The union of Icelandic air traffic controllers is planning 20 short strikes from June 27 to July 20. Air traffic controllers do no have the right to go on a total strike, so they are proposing 20 four-hour strikes in a 24-day period.

Air Iceland Goes Pink

To raise awareness for the initiative “On Everyone’s Lips” domestic airline Air Iceland has marked one of its 50 Fokker airplanes with pink letters. The purpose of the initiative is to raise money with the sale of lip gloss to support breast cancer research.
