Artists based at Korpúlfsstadir, an old farm near the Grafarvogur suburb of Reykjavík which is now used as an art gallery and workshop, are inviting the public to an “open house” event today between 1 pm and 5 pm and to the opening of the exhibition “Flood.”

Air Iceland Sells Lip Gloss to Fight Cancer

A group of women who work at domestic airline Air Iceland launched an innovative campaign to support the Icelandic Cancer Society yesterday. They are selling lip gloss from Yves St. Laurent with the slogan “Á allra vörum” (“On everyone’s lips”).

Two Icelandic Christmas Movies Underway

If everything goes according to plan, two Icelandic Christmas movies that are currently in the pipeline, will premiere in Icelandic cinemas before Christmas 2009. Directors Hilmar Oddsson and Árni Thór Jónsson plan to begin shooting in December of this year.
