A delegation from Iceland will be visiting India in the near future to strengthen existing business links, investigate new opportunities, and establish new businesses in the country. The meeting follows a recent announcement by the Icelandic government that an Icelandic embassy is scheduled to open in New Delhi. The leader of the delegation will be Minister for Foreign Affairs Geir Haarde.

And Skiing Returns to the Capital

The unusually heavy snow that has fallen in the capital city area over the last few days has meant that Bláfjöll ski area opened on Saturday for the first time this winter. The other skiing area that serves Reykjavík, Skálafell, still remains closed. In recent years, as winters have been increasingly mild, Reykjavik ski bums have complained that local skiing has been bad – if not altogether impossible.
