Icelandic State Radio RÚV reports that the association of Icelandic car owners, FÍB, has criticized the latest increase in petrol prices in Iceland.

RÚV is happy to report that word from five capelin vessels found signs of capelin schools around 60 nautical miles north and north-east of Langanes in the northeastern tip of Iceland.

Fréttabladid reports that 4.5% of all inhabitants of Iceland are foreign citizens, the same percentage of the population as its Nordic neighbors. Morgunbladid, RÚV and news station NFS are all reporting that by midnight last night, about 20,000 people, or 15 % of Iceland’s population, signed a petition addressed to DV newspaper, which published the name and photo of a man in north Iceland accused of raping two teenage boys.
