Immigrant levels in Iceland now equal to those in other Nordic countries

Fréttabladid reports that 4.5% of all inhabitants of Iceland are foreign citizens, the same percentage of the population as its Nordic neighbors. Suicide sparks outrage

Morgunbladid, RÚV and news station NFS are all reporting that by midnight last night, about 20,000 people, or 15 % of Iceland’s population, signed a petition addressed to DV newspaper, which published the name and photo of a man in north Iceland accused of raping two teenage boys.
