Internet Cable Severed Again

The Farice Line, the fibre optic line connecting Iceland to Europe via the Faroe Islands and Scotland, was cut again yesterday morning near Inverness, Scotland, when a digger accidentally severed it.

Jón and Gudrún still ahead; Birta and Aron catching up

According to the National Registry, at the end of 2004, the first names Jón and Gudrún remained the most common names in Iceland. There was a considerable difference in names between generations, and among the youngest generation such traditional names were much less common.
