Morgunbladid is reporting that, according to the National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police, seven senior executives involved in last year’s controversy surrounding price fixing in Iceland’s major oil companies are still holding key positions in the comany, despite widespread resentment among the public.

Increase in number of homeless

Icelandic state radio, RÚV, is reporting that more children and teenagers in Iceland are homeless. According to Ingi Bæringsson, a counsellor at the Hvítárbakki Treatment Centre in Borgarfjördur north of Reykjavík, over the last decade it has become much easier for young people to get access to drugs and alcohol.
