A man was being questioned in Kópavogur yesterday on suspicion of organising prostitution in Iceland, according to Morgunblaðið.

Frettablaðið is reporting that up to 50 people will lose their jobs after the biggest fish processing plant in Reykjanesbær (the city comprised of the towns Keflavík, Njardvík and Hafnir) announced its closure.

Morgunblaðið is reporting that the annual summer sacrifice day, sumarblót, was observed last Friday by the ásatrúarmenn, members of the heathen religion in Iceland, albeit without a real sacrifice.

A woman in Reykjavík gave birth to triplets last Friday in a natural delivery. This was the first natural delivery of triplets in Iceland in almost 30 years.
