Sale of tickets to sunnier climes have jumped recently. Most tours are sold out and all trips to beach-front destinations are full for the next two weeks.

The International Children’s Games, now in taking place in Coventry, will be hosted in Reykjavík 2007. According to Iceland State Radio, RÚV, Reykjavík can expect up to 2000 guests.

British musician Nick Cave will compose the music for a new show to be staged by Vesturport Theater Group at the Reykjavík City Theater and Barbican Center in London, UK this fall.
