After the final episode of the American television show, “Manhunt”, it’s an Icelander who has been crowned “America’s most gorgeous male model”.

The venerable rock singer Robert Plant is scheduled to perform in Reykjavik this April at Laugardalshöll. The concert is part of a tour to promote his new album “Mighty Rearranger”, which is due out April 25th in the UK and May 3rd in the US.

The company Bechtel plans to hire up to 1500 employees to build the new aluminium smelter in Reydarfjordur, east Iceland. The aluminium smelter will be owned by Alcoa, Inc.

Icelander Valdís Óskarsdóttir won the BAFTA for best editing for the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind on Saturday at the British Academy Film Awards.
