The two men and one woman who were arrested last Wednesday in connection with a major police operation spanning several municipalities against the motorcycle club Outlaws have been released. One was released yesterday and the other two today, mbl.is reports.
The three were among 16 who were arrested last week. Most of those arrested were released later that day or the next day but four were held in detention.
That same day the Reykjanes District Court demanded one-week custody over four of them including the club’s leader who has since been released.
Almost 80 police officers were involved in the raid, including armed members of the National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police’s Special Forces, customs officers with specially-trained track dogs and dogs trained for tracing explosives.
The police have since stated that the operation was planned because the gang had prepared to break into homes of police officers.
The investigation is ongoing.
