Leifur Björn Björnsson, co-founder of the Icelandic startup company Locatify accepted the GALILEO Master – Öresund Award in Munich, Germany, last week, as part of the competition European Satellite Navigation on business ideas involving satellites.

There were more than 400 participants and 22 awards were granted to companies from different regions, a press release described.
Locatify won the Nordic contest for “Turf Hunt Games and SmartGuides Everywhere”; the company is developing tools for designing orienteering games and guides for smart phones.
The Californian company True3D received the competition’s main award for its idea for a guide in the form of a red line that appears on the windscreen of vehicles leading drivers the right way.
