According to the website fuglar.is (“birds.is”), the sound of the golden plover was heard in South-West Iceland on Sunday. According to Icelandic belief, the golden plover is the bird that marks the beginning of spring. Also, three swans were spotted in East-Iceland and the sea pie has been spotted in various places around the country, mbl.is reports.
For the next two weeks, this house will be transported around the country and tourists will be given the opportunity to dine on Icelandic cooking and, at the same time, enjoy the view of Icelandic nature from the kitchen window, just like from a normal Icelandic home.
