Icelandic musician Ólöf Arnalds will perform a candlelit concert in Ingólfstorg square in downtown Reykjavík from 8:30-9:30 pm on Saturday, March 23, to mark international Earth Hour, mbl.is reports.

At 8:30 pm on Saturday, people in around 150 countries will turn off their lights.
The event hopes to inspire people to take steps towards a sustainable future.
Earth Hour started in Sydney, Australia in 2007 and has since been celebrated around the world.
In other environment-related news, the University of Iceland's annual Green Days festival runs through Friday, March 22.
Chasing Ice, a documentary which follows National Geographic photographer James Balog across the Arctic (and Iceland) as he deploys time-lapse cameras to capture a multi-year record of the world's changing glaciers, will be screened at the university at 8 pm this evening.
On the schedule tomorrow is a lecture entitled Creating Sustainable Art and Innovation as well as a screening of the movie Home, which features aerial footage from 54 countries depicting how the world's problems are interlinked.
On Friday, a lecture on creating sustainable fashion by Elínrós Líndal of Ella Design and Bóas Kristjánsson will be held, as well as a workshop on sustainable travel at 5:30 pm at Loft Hostel.

On the way back to Reykjavík following this morning's news conference, at which the new government agreement was formally presented, the next Prime Minister of Iceland, Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson, and his assistant, Jóhannes Þór Skúlason, who was driving, were stopped for speeding.
