Eight Icelandic films will be screened in Copenhagen and Århus during the festival ‘Islandsk film/ad nye veje’ to be opened by Icelandic ambassador to Denmark Sturla Sigurjónsson at Cinemateket in central Copenhagen tomorrow.
The festival, which is dedicated to Icelandic films, opens with the comedy Either Way (Á annan veg) by director Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurðsson, who will attend a Q&A session after the screening, Morgunblaðið reports.
The following day, director Marteinn Þórsson will present his drama Stormland (Rokland). Other films screened during the festival include City State (Borgríki), a thriller by Ólafur Jóhannesson, and comedy Our Own Oslo (Okkar eigin Osló) by director Reynir Lyngdal.
The festival runs through March 29.
