Iceland Selects Eurovision Entry
‘Ég á líf’ (‘I have a life’) performed by Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson was voted as Iceland’s entry to this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in the national finals held on the weekend.
The song is written by Örlygur Smári and Pétur Örn Guðmundsson.
Some have claimed that the song is very similar to the song ‘I am Cow’ from the Canadian musical comedy trio The Arrogant Worms, visir.is reports.
Former chairman of the Performing Rights Society of Iceland (STEF), Magnús Kjartansson, says that such discussions almost always come up regarding the entries of some countries.
The final will be held in Malmö, Sweden, on May 18.
