I come from India and I see that all the problems we see are not really problems.
Whenever I am asked by anyone in Iceland how I like being here, I say I love it. Every now and then I complain about the wind here, but I am sure I will find charm in it someday soon, as I did in many other things.
It is sometimes easier to complain, than to really look broadly at a situation, when comparing it in two different countries.
I say “bravo Icelanders.” Nowhere else do they do what you do, throw the government’s decisions out of the window when everyone feels it’s against the public interest, or show support and love for immigrants.
