The additions to the upcoming Sónar Reykjavík festival were announced this morning. The festival will be held on February 15 and 16 and Harpa concert and conference hall.

Danish DJ and producer Trentemøller and British project LFO will join a number of already announced international acts, including British producer James Blake and Squarepusher (U.K.), as well as a host of Icelandic artists such as Ásgeir Trausti, GusGus, Retro Stefson, Mugison, Ólafur Arnalds, Bloodgroup, Sóley, Human Woman, Ghostigital and Valgeir Sigurðsson.
Performances will be spread over three stages, SónarClub in the Silfurberg hall, SónarHall in Norðurljós hall and SónarFlói located in the area overlooking the bay. The building’s car park will be converted into the SónarLab club.
Sónar is an international festival originally established in Spain in 1994. Since 2002, it has traveled to other countries, including Brazil, Canada and Japan.

The government of Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir will formally step down after a state council meeting with President of Iceland Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson at his residence Bessastaðir at 11 am today. At 3 pm, the new government of Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson will attend a state council meeting and afterwards formally take power.

Air traffic was grounded at Keflavík International Airport for up to two hours this morning due to a failure in the flight data system. Due to the delay, many passengers missed their connecting flights.
