The average price of fresh fish in Iceland has increased by 2-13 percent since March this year according to a new price survey by the Icelandic Confederation of Labour (ASÍ).
The average price of haddock has increased the most, or by 13 percent, but by up to 19 percent at one store.
The average price of haddock in March was ISK 793/kg (USD 6.3, EUR 4.85) and is now ISK 893/kg (USD 7.1, EUR5.46).
The smallest price increase was on skate, by an average of 2 percent during the past eight months, or from ISK 1,355/kg (USD 10.8, EUR 8.3) to ISK 1,380/kg (USD 11, EUR 8.5).
