A dance workshop will be held in relation to Yoko Ono’s Imagine Peace Tower in Viðeyjarstofa (on Viðey Island) tomorrow, December 1, starting at 2 pm.

A dance group from the Dance Academy of Hafnarfjörður will introduce different dance styles and participants will get a chance to learn a few steps that refer to fun and peace.
The workshop, described as “a perfect opportunity for family and friends to get creative and enjoy peace and togetherness,” is led by Eva Rós Guðmundsdóttir and is open to all.
Afterwards those interested can walk to the Imagine Peace Tower. The café in Viðeyjarstofa will be open all day.
This dance workshop is a collaboration between Reykjavík City Library, Reykjavík Art Museum and Viðey Island.
Ferry tickets and participation fee is ISK 1,000 (USD 8, EUR 6) for adults and 500 for children.

Trips to the top of Iceland’s highest peak, Hvannadalshnjúkur (aka Hvannadalshnúkur), have proven popular this year, according to Icelandic Mountain Guides. Hvannadalshnjúkur is a peak on Öræfajökull in South Iceland measuring 2,109 meters in height.
