Icelandic women’s rights campaigner Hildur Lillendahl, who has been locked out of her Facebook account after posting a screen shot of a status described as a death threat against her, has garnered attention in the international media in recent days.

The message was in reference to a collection of status screenshots of men expressing sexist comments against women, entitled ‘Men Who Hate Women,’ which Hildur posted on her Facebook site.
However, the social network does not allow users to take screenshots of and then repost statuses without the written permission of the author and has thus handed Lillendahl a 30-day ban.
The Telegraph is among the international news websites to cover the story.
The story appeared in the Icelandic media in late October.
