Kókómjólk, chocolate milk from MS Iceland Dairies, was selected the best of fresh dairy products in the Nordic countries at a fair for Nordic dairy companies taking place in Herning, Denmark, this week.
Director of MS Selfoss, Guðmundur Geir Gunnarsson, was presented with the recognition from Prince Joachim of Denmark, ruv.is reports.
This is the first time that a dairy outside Denmark earns the recognition, as stated in an announcement from MS. Dairy companies from across the Nordic countries take part.
According to MS, Icelanders drink more than ten million cartons of Kókómjólk annually and exporting the beverage to foreign markets is now being looked into.
To attest to the popularity of the chocolate milk, it recently caused a driver to collide with a stationary vehicle while reaching for it. Afterwards he wowed to give up Kókómjólk.
