Icelandic author Arnaldur Indriðason has sold the film rights to his suspense thriller Operation Napoleon, signing contracts with two foreign filmmakers, Yellow Bird and Molten Rock Media.
“I have received requests from here and there through the years but nothing has happened until now because I liked the idea of having these two producers make the film,” Arnaldur told Fréttablaðið.
“It has always been my opinion that Operation Napoleon has many features that would suit an on-screen international thriller. Not least because if its interesting heroine,” the author added.
Operation Napoleon, originally published in Iceland as Napóleonsskjölin in 1999, appeared on the U.S. market last year, where it has received favorable reviews.
